There are a large number of industry organisations which are identified in the Links Section of this website. These include forest growing, processing, contracting, education and professional associations.

An over-arching body Woodco is an association of associations made up of:

• NZ Forest Owners Assn
• NZ Farm Forestry Assn
• Forest Industry Contractors Assn
• Pine Manufacturers Assn
• Wood Processors Assn

In September 2005 a new Wood Processors Association was formed. This association will represent the interest of the forest product processing sector - from pulp and paper to wood products.
